Opus Energy has been shortlisted for the Independent Energy Supplier of the Year award at next month’s Energy Excellence Awards.
The award goes to companies showing fresh ideas or market-leading behaviour, or to newcomers with a groundbreaking approach.
The inaugural Energy Excellence Awards, run by Edge Business Media, aims to showcase the energy industry’s best buyers and suppliers.
Results will be decided by vote, and a panel of judges, and announced at a gala awards dinner at the Langham Hotel, London on 25 November.
Charlie Crossley Cooke, Managing Director, commented:
“We’re very pleased to be nominated for this award and feel it is deserved recognition for the success and progress we are enjoying every year.
“In the last year we have launched Opus Extra, our flexible electricity purchasing platform for small and medium corporate customers, and introduced gas supply for our business customers. We’ve rolled out our free smart meters initiative to thousands more sites and also played our part in generating energy from cleaner sources.
“Innovative new products, low prices and high standards of customer care have always been at the centre of what we do. With high rates of growth through recession and now this nomination, I’m glad that both our customers and our peers are sitting up and taking notice.”
